Beurre D'Anjou Pear
A medium bright green, turning to full reddish blush late ripening pear that's known for its sweet dessert-like flavor. Developed in Europe for cold hardiness, very heavy cropping and resistant to fluctuating dry and wet periods. It has shown better Fireblight resistance than common susceptible varieties. The tree is a very vigorous grower and the fruit remains hard until ripe with storage qualities up to half a year. Can be self-fertile but another pear variety is recommended for heavy cropping, such as Bartlett. Wildlife: Whitetail and Turkey.
Planting Zone 5-8.
