A late season pear with very large yellow green sweet pears, which has shown very heavy cropping in both wildlife plantings and commercial orchards. This variety was developed in the 70's by the U.S.D.A and Ohio State University to be resistant to Fireblight. It has a ripening period 4-5 weeks after common Bartlett or from late September through October. Another pear variety is recommended for pollination, such as Bartlett. Wildlife Species: Whitetail, Turkey.

Planting Zone 5-8.

*Harrow Sweet, Shenandoah, Beurre D'Anjou and Seckel Pear trees are very large (5/8-1" diameter) this year, with limbs and height typically cut down to fit staggered into our large 7' shipping boxes. Approximately 15-20 pear trees fit into our largest box. We will contact you if additional shipping cost occur at the time of shipping. These varieties are budded onto OHXF 97.
